      Hello Patrick,

      Thanks for the welcome.

Ethnography is a type of research - often called real world, or contextual research - as it researches and studies people in their natural environment, rather than in a focus group setting for example. It's great at uncovering, what people really do v what they say they do, and spotting hidden opportunities for innovation in products and services. Understanding cultures and cultural drivers is a big part of this too. Aiga did a nice clean set of slides that you might find interesting?

Yes you are missing out, Patrick ;)  An instructional designer creates learning experiences for education and business. I use formal methodologies to uncover needs and to create objectives and assessments to address those needs.  I design and create training (mostly e-learning) for businesses.  Sound interesting?
