Hi Maria, how are you. Sorry for the slow response, I've been offline for a few days.

Yes I have done two so far and they have been quite successful in that most people (according to their feedback forms) enjoyed the process and would also recommend the workshop to others.

Something I have learned myself is a need to have understanding of the different levels of knowledge and personal development of the participants and how that impacts the group dynamics and outcomes. For example some people have little or no experience of business so it is important to explain business models very basically and to give some good examples when explaining the canvas and how it applies to real life situations.

Another thing that I feel is important is to set expectations well at the outset. The canvas is a great tool and the workshop is just part of a bigger process that people are experiencing in relation to who they are and how they want to get the most out of life. So it's not THE answer but it does provide a great framework for them to build their future. As long as people realise this and can take responsibility for their own results, then their expectations can be met and hopefully exceeded.

One more thing that echos other feedback is that the magic mostly happens in the small group interaction and to a lesser extent the general interaction, so I see my role as above all holding the space for the participants, more facilitator than teacher if that makes sense.

My post is getting a bit long but if you want to talk some more about how I've done things and the feedback I've received, I would be happy to Skype or Viber or similar. Let me know.

Hi Maria, yes I am. I am looking at doing one on the 7th December so am busy organising a venue and preparing marketing materials to help get people along.

Because it's my first, I am targeting several groups - 1) mid career professionals, 2) people seeking to re-enter the workforce after either children or a sabbatical, 3) younger people who are maybe 2 or 3 years out from university and are finding that their expectations are not being met and finally 4) people who are specifically considering starting a business.

It is very broad I know and eventually I can see maybe running specific tailored programs for each segment but this is the first one so I am using it mainly to learn what works and how.
